INTRODUCTION

• Considering the future wind potential in Pakistan, OES has also stepped into Wind Power Business and has partnered with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE).
• Siemens Gamesa is World’s top ranked manufacturer of Wind Turbine Generators with an installed base of more than 83 GW in 90+ countries.
• OES has been awarded one window contract for local works, testing & pre-commissioning for 50 MW Zephyr Wind Power Project. The project location is in Gharo, district Thatta Sindh, N24⁰42’49.74” and E67⁰27’19.04”. 25x Siemens Gamesa WTG Model G114-2.0 MW are installed to generate 50 MW gross output.

UNIQUE FEATURES

• The project has one of the shortest construction time (15 months) compared to other wind farms so far in Pakistan.
• It’s the highest “93 m hub height” Wind turbine project in Pakistan to-date.
• The blades are 56 m long and the wind turbine has the total diameter of 114 m, the biggest in Pakistan till now.
• It is one of the most efficient project in terms of energy production.
